Education

Tasha's holds aMaster's of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, a CACREP accredited univiersity, with a focus on clinical counseling and therapeutic interventions.

Certifications

As a *provisionally licensed therapist (PLPC), I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, recovery-oriented cognitive therapy, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness practices to provide holistic support to my clients.

A Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) is a master’s-level mental health clinician who has completed all academic requirements for licensure and is actively practicing under the supervision of a state-approved Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). PLPCs provide counseling services, develop treatment plans, and support clients using evidence-based practices while gaining the supervised experience required for full independent licensure.

Experience

With more than 20 years of experience serving the Greater Kansas City community, Tasha has built a strong foundation in community relations—connecting individuals, families, and organizations with essential resources to meet their needs. She has spent the last three years working as a Qualified Mental Health Professional, providing outpatient group and individual therapy for children as young as five through adulthood across both private practice and community-based settings. Tasha is currently practicing under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Supervisor as she continues advancing toward full licensure, bringing compassion, cultural awareness, and a client-centered approach to every therapeutic relationship.

Specializations

Tasha specializes in providing holistic, person-centered care that honors the whole individual—mind, body, and lived experience. Her therapeutic work integrates multi-modal, evidence-based interventions including CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness-based strategies, and trauma-informed practices. She has extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through community-based and outpatient services. Tasha’s strengths also include family systems support, psychoeducation, emotional regulation skills, crisis intervention, community resource navigation, and culturally responsive care for marginalized populations. With a strong foundation in relationship-building and over two decades of community engagement in the Greater Kansas City area, she is committed to empowering clients through compassion, collaboration, and accessible mental health support.
